DIRECTOR DANIELA CARRERA MERSAN Mexico City, Mexico Daniela Carrera Mersan was born in Mexico City, where her curiosity about the human condition led her to immerse herself in psychoanalytic theory. Initially, her goal was to become a psychoanalyst, but as she progressed in her university career, she began to feel that her true passion lay elsewhere. It was then that she asked herself: "What else could I do that would allow me to explore the complexity of the human being in a more creative and expressive way?" The answer came when she discovered the similarities between film and psychoanalysis. She was drawn to the world of cinema and decided to explore this new passion. Without prior connections, she knocked on doors and began working as a personal assistant to a film director. From there, she embarked on a series of projects that led her to become an assistant director on numerous Mexican films and series. Although she has found her place in the industry, her true longing and goal are set on writing and directing films, where she can express her vision of the world and explore the depth of the human soul in an authentic and emotional way.
