DIRECTOR BENJAMÍN FIGUEROA Mexico City, Mexico Born in Mexico City, he has a Dramatic Literature and Theatre degree from UNAM and an Audiovisual and Film Production in CCC. Screenwriter and producer, he has been awarded with an Emmy for Best Series in a Foreign Language for “Falco” in 2018, a nomination for Best Original Screenplay at the Colombian Academy Macondo Awards for “The Night of the Beast” in 2024 and winner for Best Mexican Film in GIFF 2024 and other festivals for his work in “Broken Borders”. His short film, “Swine Food”, won Best Screenplay at GIFF 2022 and is his first work as a director.
